After carefully leveling, measuring, and jigging up the left wing skeleton this morning, I began the skinning process. Even though the holes were pre-drilled for me, there was a lot of aligning and clamping to be done to make sure there's no wing twist. If you attach the skin to a twisted wing, that's the way it's going to stay. The fact that the skins were pre-trimmed made a huge difference in time too. I'm convinced that if I had built from a kit, my airframe would be done by now, but it's not really about that for me. I want to be able to say I hand-built almost every part.
