Spent the morning finishing up little loose ends on the right spar. I drilled all of the rib angle and hat stiffener holes to their final size, and pilot-drilled the holes for the nose ribs in the rib angles. After I was satisfied with everything, I took the whole thing apart and will spend the next day or so dressing all of the edges, deburring hundreds of holes, and and polishing the spar caps. I'm very pleased with the workmanship at this point. Unless I make some dumb-ass mistake in riveting and final assembly, I should end up with one very nice wing spar. I wanted to feel this way about this very important assembly at this point, and I do. After disassembling everything, I took a nice break from the feverish pitch of the last few days and cleaned up the shop. Now I'm in a good mindset to spend some time doing detailed preparation for final assembly.
