Brief Description: Aileron Part Fabrication (cont'd)
Finished up part fabrication for the ailerons. Next, I'll be assembling them. This assembly will mark the first where every single part has been scratch-built. Everything looks really good so far. Those with a sharp eye will spot some light corrosion visible on the aileron skin. I'm planning on polishing my plane instead of painting, so the light sanding and polishing will take care of that. The corrosion happened as a result of being caught in a rainstorm on the way home from High Point, NC where I picked up this load of metal from Yarde Metals. That seems so long ago! I'm excited to get the ailerons built. That will mark the last of the control surfaces for the whole project!
