You wouldn't know it to look at it, but this is actually a difficult part to fabricate. First of all, it's made of reasonably thick stock (.063) which has to be bent to the correct angles, then the flanges have to be sawed off laterally, then the cutout at the bottom has to be made. I re-made this one after screwing the first one up. I bent the flanges a little big, so the web ended up a little small. I'm still dialing in the different calculations for different bends. The radius on these has to be 1/4" also, so I had to use blocks to bend it instead of the brake. Turned out well, and all tolerances are well within specs on the plans.
