Finished the rudder today. Pulled all rivets with my hand riveter. I may end up getting the pneumatic model before it's all said and done. Hand riveting was not bad really, but this is a relatively small part. The rudder appears to be very solid. There's no twist, and there were no real mistakes made in assembly. All edge distances were observed, and everything worked out well. Having the rudder also gives you sime sense of scale. Even though this will be a small plane, it will still be reasonably large. I have a huge sense of accomplishment. I've completed the first assembly of my airplane and am no longer thinking about doing it - I'm DOING it.
