Brief Description: Riveting HS-707 rib to left HS skin.
Riveted HS-707 nose rib to top of left skin. What a bitch of a job. Had to cleco skin together with HS-008 and HS-006 to get all formed right for a tight fit due to radius of leading edge.Then reach in between skins with bucking bar to set rivets. Got er done, looks good and moved onto riveting the bottom skin to HS-707. Had a little slip off rivet and left a little crease next to rivet and damaged rivet. Also had one shop head that I got way to thin. Decided to drill out the 2 bad rivets and try again. All good drilling first rivet, second one basically sucked. Slipped and drilled into skin enlarging the hole and damaging the rib underneath. What a bummer, finally good progress and now this. I'm thinking I need a new skin and HS-707 nose rib. This means match drilling, prepping, dimpling, priming skin and rib.... I'll query Van's and see what they say.
