Decided to prime VA-146 bearing prior to assembly. Scuffed up with scotchbrite, cleaned and primed with Dupli-Color Self Etching rattle can primer. The 2 brackets, HS-411, for the bearing had bad spots from powdercoating so cleaned them up as well and primed the inner part of cutout where there was bare metal. Might call Van's about the brackets before I assemble. I have seen other complaints about the quality control on these brackets.I think its from hanging the part during powdercoating.
