Brief Description:  Bungee Cord Installation

This was one of those sessions that you had to admit defeat to achieve victory. I borrowed a local mechanic's "sure-fire" solution for installing the bungee cords on my landing gear. He assured me that he had used the rig to install a dozen sets of cords over the years and it would work great for me. Even with the help of a good friend, after about an hour of working on the first of four cords to be installed, I backed up ten yards and punted. I pulled out my rig that I had fabricated for my last attempt at this, and within an hour, I had all four cords in place with no damage to the cords. My fuselage now sits on its own gear with no straps or anything else holding things in place.
Once I finish up my cowling installation, I can hang my wings. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting larger.
