I started work on mounting the new side cowl pieces. I used a technique that I found sucessful when I mounted my new leading edges on my wings. After I attached the side pieces at their bottom points, I took cargo straps and gently pulled the top edges into place. This held them pretty close to their final position as I drilled the holes for their screw locations. It also made sure the front edge of the side pieces fit nicely around the trailing edge of the nosebowl. I finished the left side, and did all the marking for the right side.
The left cowl side piece pulled into place and ready for drilling.
