Brief Description:  Control Surface Mounting

This entry represents two days of sessions. I discovered I could not go nay further on my cowling work until my lightweight starter came in, so I went to work on the other end of the airplane. I mounted the rudder, hooked up the strobe that ,mounts on top of the rudder, and hooked up the rudder cables. I then hooked up the steering springs for the tailwheel with new spring assemblies. Getting all that adjusted and properly tensioned took longer than anticipated, but I'm happy with the results. Next came the two elevators with their control cables and tensioning springs. Getting these guys to all agree to work with each other while working in a confined area made these cables a lot of fun to work with. Bottom line, I now have a functioning tail surface group that should work great with all the new hardware and bushings in place.
