I started looking at the work needing to be done on my aileron attach points and decided it would be impractical to remove and clean each attachment arm , so I figured out a way to clean the arms up, repaint them, and make them ready to install the new reinforcing brackets. After cleaning and painting the three arms on the right wing, and reading the Piper service bulletin on these brackets, I got one of the new support brackets installed. These brackets will kill off a repetitive AD on these arms, so that will be nice. Now that I've got the procedure down, the rest will go much quicker.
