I started cleaning up an aileron. Most of the old glue on the open surfaces came right off with "Glue Gone" stripper, but the wells for the aileron hinges had multiple coats of old paint, dating back to the original Diana Creme color for the wings. I left the wells soaking with their thrird coat of stripper. The paint is coming off and will eventually look pretty nice. I intend to spray them with a wash primer and paint the wells before I do the covering. This should make the hinge wells a non-factor during the painting of the rest of the control surface.
