Along with a treasure trove of 4130 tubing, I also acquired this basic Buttercup fuselage. The original builder was a beef-fed sized guy and the cabin width is a generous 44" wide, so I'll have to be careful with the rest of the bird if I expect this to perform as an LSA. Tail feathers need to be build as well as the balance of the fuselage and controls (except for the rudder peddles which are about 75%). All and all the workmanship appears good and no signs of cold welds or poor penetration.
Need some tweaking to this arrangement as it won't rotate full circle... but used a typing chair on one end and a motor-stand on the other -- locks in place nicely, but think I'll have to work on the geometry to invert the fuselage for subsequent fabrication... good enough for now... so far just doing basic fiddly-diddly stuff.
