Just spent five hours on what I thought was going to be a final hour and a half of the VT repositioning project... finishing up that last VT rib... was almost more difficult than the lower one,.. had to keep fiddling around to graft in the new rib splice -- would have been easy if it was just butt welds, but fishing the doubler tubes into both ends of the splice at the same time was a trick... and got all done and was wire-brushing the thing and found a pinhole or two, so had to go back again... oh well, I'm getting got at making standoffs out of scrap and I think I'm pretty much done with the with the VT redo back there -- sprayed a coat of zinc-chromate on it...
