Brief Description: Preparing the Flap Brace and Aileron Gap Fairings.
Trimmed the root ends of the Flap Brace per the plans based on the markings on the parts. I should have looked closer before I cut because this leaves you without enough edge distance for the last rivet hole as you can see in picture 1. I clecoed the parts into place on the wing and found that I didnt have to trim that close. Well I thought about it over night and decided I would just order a new part and measure and cut so I would have the correct edge distance and make it right. So beware if you follow the marks on the part you will not have the correct edge distance. I test fit the Aileron Gap Fairing on the wing. Then smoothed the edges on the scotchbrite wheel in preparation for drilling and riveting later.
