The ribs and panel that make up the forward fuselage come together quick, but there is a bunch of misc. tasks to complete before this all can be riveted in place. The strcuture consists of three ribs, and sub panel and a panel.
Stretching the skin over this was real difficult. I can see it will be real interesting trying to rivet this top skin in place once all the cavities are filled with avionics and wiring...
I can see already the subpanel will need a big slot cut in it for a couple of the avionics trays to pass through. For example; the space between the panel and the subpanel is about 9" but the length of the Garmin SL30 Nav/Com is about 12".
I match drilled these parts together and started working of the brackets that secure the bottom of the panel, and cockpit venting in place.
