Brief Description:  Rudder Pedal Fab

The rudder pedal assembly unit come fabbed and poweder coated as two bars that span the fusealge and serve both pilot and co-pilot. There are however mounting blcks and braces that need to be fabbed as well as drilling the bolt hole locations into the fuselage.

I drilled three seperate bolt locations for mounting these so there is about 6" +/- fore/aft adjustment of the ruder pedals to suit my preference.

I also have dual brake kit, meaning there will be brakes on both the pilot and co-pilot side. Fabricating the brakes requires making 8 seperate pieces from 3/4x3/4 angle that serve as mounting brackets and stiffeners to the pedal. This was fairly simple with the hacksaw and actully kind of fun to get back to some fabrication.

There is a center support that braces the mid-span of the rudder assembly. This required some coping clear the firewall recess as well as drilling out the lightening holes. (which were convieniently sized per previous holes in the project so for once i did not need to go buy a new hole saw!) I primed the brace and riveted it in place
