I fabricated the tail tie-down bracket from the stock AEX (Aluminum Extrusion) part. I used the hack saw to cut the bevels and tapped the threads for the tie down bolt. I final drilled this assembly to the rear of the tailcone and primed the piece. The piece gets riveted to the rear bulkhead with four holes left open for through-bolting the vertical stabilizer. I also used a step drill to enlarge the hole for the tie-down ring in the bottom of the tailcone.
