Brief Description:  Ordered QB Fuse

Today I bit the bullet at placed the order for my Quick-Build Fuselage. This soaked up a few AFU's (Aviation Financial Units) (a monetary figure rounded to the nearest Kilo-buck)!

The Quickbuild fuselage when delivered from Vans and is supposedly about 75% complete, of course there is a premium for that. from my research it seems there is still an astronomical amount of work to finish the fuse, and airplane for that matter and you would never feel jipped from lack of building. My research also estimates an approximate 350 hours to get a standard built fuse to the QB status. In looking at my builders log, that is about how many hours i have vested in this project thus far, over the past six months, which took several full weekends.

Justification: With the baby due in a few weeks i figured id rather be spending time with the family than deburring holes in the garage. I dont think the QB is going to accelerate my finish date but will allow me to spend less time building and more with the new kid.

Although Vans did have some in stock, i've indicated to them a mid November delivery to hopefully allow me to finish up the last bits of my wings.
