Brief Description:  Flap/Aileron Gap Fairings

The aileron and flap gap fairings give a finished look to the trailing edge (rear spar) of the wings as well as support the extended top skin rear edge. I have to say the fairings are very well pre-fabricated. After coming off the brackets, which left much fabrication to the builder, I do say that seeing the flap gap fairings in place; Vans could have easiling left much of the fabrication here to the builder. However, the fairings are already properly slotted to transition up and over all doubler plates on the rear spar. This could have been left to the builder, which would have been a mind F&*%. Thanks Vans!

Over the past few days I match drilled, deburred and primed these fairings and riveted in place tonight. All the rivets were easily accessible with either the hand or pneumatic squeezer. Overall the fairings were straight forward and simple, a nice departure from the bracket fabrication. On to the ailerons and flaps!
