Constructed the two practice kits this weekedn that Vans offers. One is section of and aileron and the other a small tool box. I thought the most difficult part of the aileron was forming the radius at the leading edge and riveting the tight spaces at the trailing edge. Will need a good plan for these on the real build. The most difficult part of the tool box i thought was the hing, I guess not that difficult but i wasn't happy with the performance of it when i was done...kind of binded a bit. will deffinately need to devise a good plan for hinges on the real build. Learned that riveting is simple, but if you let your mind wander the slightest bit or get complacent on just one rivet, you will wish you hadn't. These kits expose you to alot of different riveting applications.
