Brief Description:  Horizontal Stabilizer Assembly

Let the fun begin... Started assembly of the horizontal stabilizer which is comprised mostly of cleco's & Rivets. Mostly work your way out of the leading edge of the airfoil. Start with the nose ribs then the front spar, then the main ribs, then set all the flush rivets on the skin.

Careful attention was given to each rivet size. I checked off the rivets on the plans as I went along. It would be easy to get ahead of yourself and use the wrong size rivet. For example the the rivets used at the intersection of the skin, spar and rib are longer than that at just the skin and spar...

The most difficult rivets to set were on the inboard main rib connection to the front spar. These are big AN470D4-8's and its difficult to get a good buck on them. Migh redo these later if i can get a squeezer of some type at them.

By the end of the day I had the entire left half riveted in place and the right half all cleco'd, nose ribs riveted and main ribs riveted to the front spar. A few more hours of riveting and on to the vertical Stab...
