Today I go the horizontal stabilizer built up, all drilled and, dis-assebled and deburred. Started off by getting all the nose ribs aligned, fluted and deburred. At first glance i thought the ribs were aligned perfect from the factory, as there was slight fluting marks on them already. After putting a straight edge down the pre-punch holes you can tell they needed a bot of work, not a lot though. Fluting with the vice grips type fluting pliers was actually enjoyable.
Spent quite some time with the ribs on a 6" scotchbrite wheel mounted to my drill press. Again, these appear good to go right from the factory; however the manual stresses deburring so much i made sure to hit every edge again.
Once the ribs are ready you get to cleco them to the front and back spars and get your first real look of accomplishment! Cool! Thats a big tail! Next I match drilled all available #30 holes, dissasmebled and put the final debur on all parts.
