Brief Description:  Step One

Well, I couldn't wait to get started, so i reconfigured some EAA tables so i had a long enough surface to start the Horiz. Stab and dove on in. started by clecoing the doubler plate to the spars and match drilling, that was easy enough. Then on to step two; wait, this doesn't seem that easy... already into some fabrication. I got out my ruler and pens from Avery and started to lay out the pattern on the angles precisely. Finished the lay out and thats enough for today. I'll cut, drill, debur, round, smooth, etc. on the next round. Fun Stuff!

You'll see i am wearing surgical gloves, well my intention is wear these so that i dont get fingerprint oils all over my bare aluminum parts and have to clean later. I noticed on my practice projects that it doesn't take long the aluminum to get filthy dirty with fingerprints.....we'll see how long this lasts though!
