After the fiberglass is cured i chipped away the foam block. I carefully laid up another layer of fiberglass ournd the outside and inner fillet for strength and then sanded to final form.
This fiberglass snout is then trimmed 1/4" shy of the filtered airbox to allow for engine movement; the gap gets a rubber seal.
I am actually very please with how this turned out, especially for the first try. There is a lot of using your insinct on this one, once you understand what needs to get accomplished you just go for it.
