Brief Description:  Fuel Line to Carb

Given the stock firewall forward components, the fuel line from the engine driven fuel pump to the carb is challenging, due to it's close proximity of the exhaust pipes. The fact that my pipes also have a (larger diameter) muffler in this region make it even worse. Neither the fuel line that came with my engine or the fuel line that came with the firewall forward kit worked with out rubbing on things.

The kit provides straight fittings, which you see would naturally want to make one big loop from the pump to the carb, right through the exhust pipe.

Thankfully my engine came with a 90 degree fitting coming off the carb and a adjustable T fitting coming off the fuel pump. I then stole an idea off Vansairforce and called up TS FLightlines to have them fabricate me this fuel hose. I was able to rotate, spin and torque the line in perfect place where it is far from the the exhaust and away from rubbing on any engine brackets. (it is a braided stainless line behind the firesleeve... once the nut is toqued on both ends they hold there position well.) That little hose was $85, but obviously this is one very critical element to get right ;)
