Brief Description:  Fuel Overflow

The engine driven fuel pump has a spigot out the back for an overflow drain line. The drain line supplied with the kit is a parker fluid line. It needs to be routed out the bottom of the cowl. I drilled a hole in the forward facing flange of the firewall and bent an aluminum tube around the engine bracket for securing it in place and to exiting through the hole. The plastic tubing gets safety wired to the copper spigot and aluminum exit tube.

I also put another extra layer of epoxy on the inside of the top cowl today and put the (I hope) final layer of epoxy and micro on the outer surface of the bottom cowl. The exterior surface of the cowls have some serious crevices to fill... Epoxy/micro mixture to a peanut butter consistency and a bondo applicator squeegee do the trick. I probably have one more pass, both in and out on the two cowl halves and it will be ready for primer.
