Brief Description:  The "Big Cut"

Made the big cut to seperate the two canopy halves. Next I clamped the frame back in position and marked the sides of the canopy for the last two cuts on the slider portion.

I cut the bottom sides of the slider portion, sanded all the edges and postioned everything temporarily on the fueslage for some photos.

Obviously there was many photos and steps left out here, such as masking, smothing, fitting, thinking, positioning, clamping, measuring and transferring marks.

Overall, (once the frame was fitted) getting the canopy to this point took only a weekend (not even, considering i still helped with the kiddo and all) I found it easier to follow my gut and use the instruction manual only as a guideline. Some OCD people spend months on these couple steps, but hey, its only an airplane right?

I have a lot of drilling, riveting and fitting side skirts left, as well as fitting up the windshield portion... but so far this isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be.
