Brief Description:  Fitting Canopy for the "Big Cut"

After trimming all the flanges off the canopy i postioned the frame and marked the rear of the canopy 1" from the rear bow and made these cuts, which allowed me to clamp the rear bow for positioning of the frame.

Once i found the happy spot of the frame within the canopy I clamped the perimeter and marked the cut line for the "big cut" 1/16" ahead of the forward bow.

I fabricated some aluminum spreader bars from 3/4" AA, that cleco in place and hold the canopy at the correct dimiension. I found that the pressure exerted by the canopy into the frame, only spreads the frame by about a 1/4" which is almost negligable. So, instead, i am going to hold the canopy frame at the correct dimension with these spreaders, for fitting, drilling and riveting.
