Brief Description:  Firewall Recess Riveting

Now that the cabin controls, brakes and all other forward cockpit items are complete I was able to rivet the stainless steel recess in place at the firewall... Previously this hole provided much needed access to drilling and riveting activities on the firewall. I laid a bead of firewall sealant on the flanges prior to riveting in place. ($16 at Skygeek vs $110 at Vans... dont quite understand that one... good tip from VAF!) Riveting the recess in place allowed me to final install the fasteners on the battery box as well.

Additionally, i fabricated the two copper jumper bars that tie the master relay and starter solenoid together and bolted them in place. I put some heat shrink around the copper to avoid arcing any wires or tools on it, as this will be live power when the master is on. Installing the copper bars allowed me to final torque the fasteners here too.
