A few months ago purchased the safety wire and associated tools. Today i gave myself a lesson safety wiring on the gascolator screws. (screws have a pilot hole drilled through tehm already).
The goal here is to keep the fasteners from being able to come un-screwed. General practice is to wire in a fashion that applies tightening pressure to the adjacent screw. For example, if one of these screws in the chain trys to un screw, the corresponding reacton on the other screw is tightening, and vice versa. Basically stops movement in either direction, as i see it.
I think I'll post these photos to Vansairforce and let the masses comment.... afterall, the the fuel lines / filter are not an area for experimentation in my book.
I also finish build up of the gascolator by installing two plugs (for unused primer) drain on bottom and the in/out AN fittings.
