I finished the right wing today 100% by riveting the bottom wing skins in place. I took a bunch of photos before hand to document the condition and rough-ins inside the wing. I had my buddy Ted over to help. Ted ran the rivet gun while i bucked from the inside. Ted was a big help in setting rivets and moving cleco's around as well.
This was probably the most difficult riveting thus far, as i spent the entire day with my arm jammed up in-between the skin and the spar, or through an access hole. I'd say we set about two thirds of the rivets with the wing in it's cradle, while i was on my knees reaching up inside. The other third was riveted with the wing lying top side down on my work benches. There was one row of rivets that was prett well centered on the interior wing conduit. The conduit restriced access to the bucking bar so for these i did sustitute a CS4-4 blind rivet in their place.
Glad to have this wing complete, but i am sure beat, it was a lot of work... Hopefully finish the Left wing next weekend.
