Brief Description:  Heated Pitot Tube

Worked on mounting of the pitot tube and heat contoller box in the wing. I drilled and tapped four holes for 6-32 torx nuts to fasten the pitot tube to the safeair1 mount. I also cut and flared the aluminum tubes coming from the pitot tube to install a transition fitting to the safeair snap bushings which are compatible with their tubing. This pitot tube has both pitot function and AOA - angle of attack. I have no plans as of yet to install AOA, because i am used to a stall warner instead. But i am going to rough in the lines in the wing to the pitot now, so it is there in the future if I want it.

I fastened the heat controller module to the wing rib using plate nuts. I used the dremel to remove the primer from behind one plate nut and installed a ground terminal here for the module.

I ran the pitot (green) and AOA (blue) lines through snap bushings in the wings, but will have to get crafty yet as to how I am going to secure the lines in and around the bellcrank to avoid any interference.
