Brief Description:  Rivet Leading Edges

Today I managed to get both leading edge assemblies riveted. This was a nice departure to actually final build something rather then just prep parts; as I have been doing for the last few weeks. I also finished priming all of the wing skin (insides) and j stringers, which included a prior wipe down with the scotchbrite pad and alumaprep solution.

Before the leading edges can be riveted to the spar i need to machine counter sink the spar flanges to accept the dimpled skins. Not looting forward to the AD4 rivets from the leading edge ribs to the spar. I suppose i'll sit down for one last marathon session and finish deburring the wing ribvs and spars to get this out of the way too.

If your wondering about the "gap" to the left of the leading edge, or why the leading edge doesn't continue the whole lenght of the wing, well, that is where the fuel tank goes. The fuel tanks are essentially the same as the two leading edges i have already constructed, except each rivet and rib is sealed in place with fuels tank sealant. There are also abvious components too such as fuel level indicator floats, locking fuel tank caps, fuel strainers, etc.
