Brief Description:  Lighting Options

Current plans for lighting include the use of Aeroled's wingtip Nav/Strobe lights (LN201, LN210). These will recessed into the leading edge corners of the wingtips. At this location the navs and strobe lights will only be visible from the front and sides, therefore a third strobe (aeroled suntail) will be located in fiberglass housing at the bottom trailing edge of the rudder.

For a landing / taxi light I plan to install 50W HID's into the leading edge cuffs of the wings. (preferably both wings if budget allows) I have flown a plane before that had a four bulb LED as a landing light and i would have been better off wearing a headlamp. Im sure there are LED landing lights out there that are more than sufficient, for the right price... but in my price range im going with HID's for landing/taxi and LED for strobe/nav. I've seen planes flying around with LED strobes at night and they look pretty cool, not to mention last forever and suck barely any juice.
