Brief Description:  Misc. Tools

Stopped by the local Home Depot Aero Supply and picked up some more files, a flat, traingle and round hand file. I find these handy for deburring random spots. The file that came with my avery tool kit is huge and very abrasive, it's better suited for sharpening lawn mower blades than crafting aircraft aluminum... Im sure there is a use for it somewhere though.

While there I also picked up an 8' 2x10 and some door hinges - I havent' got to this step yet but i've read a lot about people making a brake press out of these materials for forming aluminum edges on some upcoming steps... To be cont.

In regards to tooling - I have realized during the build so far that this would be very frustrating without the proper tools. For anyone thinking of building; my only good advice thus far would be to "tool-up" first. Having all the necessary tools reduces build time and you wont have to stop and wait on a tool you need. There are several tools in addition to aviation tools that help a great deal, these include mitre saws, tool storage, cordless drills, dremel, band saw, belt sander, drill press, bench vice, clamps, etc.
