Brief Description:  Roll bar

OK so I screwed up reading the prints for the roll bar earlier when I thought it needed to be set back from the fuselage 3/8" to allow for the thickness of the canopy. It's actually supposed to be 3/16" on both sides. Today I measured 1/4" in from the side of the fuselage, (I would rather need to shim the canopy later than have a canopy/fuselage mis-match), spread the roll bar back out, (definitely easier than compressing it) and drilled the mounting holes. I left them at 3/16" for now and installed a couple of AN3 bolts to secure it while I get the canopy frame positioned. These holes will eventually be drilled up to 1/4" for AN4 bolts. It's starting to look more like an airplane now. I plan to get the canopy frame located and then dis-assemble everything and spend a few days painting the new parts. This is frustrating at times but all in all it's a lot of fun!
