Brief Description:  Rudder stops, battery box

This weekend I spent time fabricating and positioning the rudder stops. I set the rudder with 35 degrees deflection left and right and made my first set of stops. After they were finished I noticed that they were not level with the fuselage so I made a new set and used the digital level to square them up. I plan to install nutplates on the inside of the fuselage in case they ever need to come off it will be a whole lot easier to remove them. I also started working on positioning the battery box and realized that the brake reservoir would prevent me from installing the battery if I hard mounted the box. When I positioned the brake res I didn't use the dimensions in the plans. I shifted it inboard so it would be centered above the right rudder pedals. No big deal. I attached a section of hinge to the bottom of the box so it can be rotated to give the battery clearance to be installed. I temporarilly attached the engine mount and made a wooden mock up that matched the dimensions of the battery and it works fine.
