Brief Description: Bonding the plexi glass to the canopy frame
With the help of my good friend Dan Honkomp, I bonded the plexi to the canopy frame today. It was a messy job and if I had it to do again I would have masked off the canopy frame. I tacked the canopy yesterday with quick set 3M 5200. It was set up good enough today to remove the canopy from the fuselage and finish the bond job on the table for better access. I used the slow cure 5200 to fill in the voids left from yesterday. It's a done deal now and I'm satisfied with how it turned out. I'll need to do some clean up after it cures completely (7 days). I did a test piece yesterday that is almost completely cured and it seems very strong.
