Picked up engine core from Classic Street in Taylor Texas.
Engine is a 1964 164cc 110hp 'YN' series engine (SN: T0830YN) with a manual transmission bell housing. Even tho it is a 1964 model, it has the '8409' crank in it which makes it the same as the 'RD' model that came out in 1965. This is a perfect engine for a aero conversion as per William Wynne's Conversion Manual.
One negative is that it did not come with a harmonic balancer. It had an A/C pulley instead. Will likely need to get one from Clark's (C9871R $225)
One positive note is that it did come with a '12 plate' oil cooler. Even tho a replacement from Clark's is only $120, they seem to be pretty much out of stock on both the new and used varieties of both the '12 fin' and 'folded fin' types.
