Brief Description:  Left Flap

I have done several hours of work on the left flap. The piano hinge was put on then I realized that it and the flange were supposed to go on last as if they were installed then the rivets holding the top skin on to the bottom could not be bucked.

Off they come, it only took one hour to drill the rivets out and I went back to the technique described in the manual of using the drill to dead center the rivet and then use a punch to punch out the rivet and or a chisel from the shop head side to remove the rivet without damaging the hole. This worked well and the only thing not usable afterward is the piano hinge, it could be used but I will order a new one instead.

The rest of the work went well, however, it does take a lot of time and thankfully some tools like my handy dandy vise grip rivet tool worked so well in those hard to get places.

As of tonight it remains to rivet the top skin on and then the angles on the corner of the rib and flange. Altgother i think this flap will take about 12 hours. Wow! am I slow or what?
