Brief Description:  Capacitative fuel quantity sender Left tank

Today I installed the Capacitative Fuel quantity sender plates in the left wing tank.

This was somewhat slow in that each sender plate had to be installed with the screws and fibre washer system to ensure a correct fit and the appropriate 3/16 inch gap existed on all sides and also around the baffles. Went well had to fit the inboard plate a bit as the top was too close to the wing skin, so I installed then assured the correct gap and then adjusted the top forward plate height to allow for the correct gap from plate to wing skin. This meant the drilled hole(for the wire connecting the outboard sender plate) was too close for comfort so I redrilled to hole slight lower and to the front about 3 mm, then it appeared to be a better fit and i dont think it will affect the reading of the gauges that much if at all.

The pictures show the final installation, however, next will be the Pro Seal of the rib and then I will reinstall the plates and use a bit of Pro seal on the terminal ends and the nut as in the directions from Vans.

Long slow job but it is going to hopefully work and well for years to come ... so time spent is worth it!
