Finished the dimpling of the topside right wing fuel tank. Redimpled the Screws section that will hold the tank to the wing as the squeezers did not give a defined dimple and the hammer C avery dimpler worked better to give a much nicer look. Instructions had that buried deep.
Need to completed the match drilling of the bottom side and ensure that the deburring tool is used, this will ensure a better fit for the rivet and make a better chance of having a sound tank when done. More tomorrow I hope. No pics today
Completed dimpling the lower skin and the stiffeners, and ribs, this took over two hours and I had a pneumatic squeezer too. The skin was dimpled using a C frame dimpler and a hammer, this made some very nice dimples, hopefully this will all contribute to a solid, sound leak proof tank.
