The left wing leading edge assembly was tackled tonight and went well. The ribs initially gave me grief in that the ribs would not line up hole to hole with the leading edge skin, however, it meant moving the rib somewhat and presto the line up went well.
The manual has lots of little hints that need reading over many times to get but when you do it the tasks are simpler. A case in point is the W 423 joint in between the gas tanks and the leading edge. I couldnt find the W 423 but when i looked at the blueprints there it was the note that said I was to make the joint piece out of the scrap piece in the kit. Marked the other piece as W423.
So I placed the assembly on the wing and should now look at match drilling next then dimpling then I think that it gets riveted on. Cool!
