Brief Description: Cleaning / Alodining Vertical Stab Parts, start ri
Cleaned the remaining parts of the vertical stabilizer with Alumiprep-33 (Both spar channels, spar doubler, lower rib and inside of skin). Applied Alodine 1201 solution to both spar channels, spar doubler and lower rib. Set the cleaned skin aside for later with intention to spray zinc chromate primer along joint lines to save weight, time and effort. Clecoed rear spar doubler (VS-808PP) and rudder hinges (VS-410PP, VS-411PP and VS-412PP) to rear spar channel (VS-803PP). Confirmed alignment, flushness and spacing. Placed masking tape labeled "DO NOT RIVET" over spar to rib holes to prevent accidental riveting. Used AN470AD4-5 per construction drawing to rivet VS-410PP hinges to VS-803PP spar channel with manufactured heads facing aft for appearances.
