Brief Description:  Service Bulletin 16-03-28, Inboard Aileron Hinge B

Today I worked on installing the inboard aileron hinge bracket reinforcement plates per Service Bulletin 16-03-28. Perfect timing to do this as I had not riveted the brackets on yet.

I cut the 4 plates, edged, match drilled, deburred, primed, and installed the bracket plates with clecos. I made sure to note that for the RV-8, the bottom hole in the outboard angle bracket uses flush rivet so I used the deburring tool to make the countersink. All clecoed in place and ready for riveting.

I also removed the temporary screws holding the wingtip lights in place and added the proper countersunk head screws.

Next I'll rivet the aileron brackets in place on the rear spars.
