Today not a lot of progress. Took me 1 hour just to ID all of the hardware parts located in 4 or 5 different bags. Studied plans and directions. Both are not up to date so I needed to go to VAF website to do some research. Cut small bushings down to 1 1/16". Removed mounting brackets from spar to drill/widen the big hole to 1/4". Cleaned up parts from stickers and old torque seal.
The plans don't show it but there are pre-drilled holes on the arms of the aileron bellcranks where nutplates are installed. Best I can tell from doing research on VAF is that these are for the Dynon Skyview autopilot roll servo mounts. I do not know if it applies to other servos so will have to call Van's tomorrow to find out more.
ID'd all aileron bellcrank parts
Had nto remove brackets from spar to drill 1/4" holes
