Today Andrew and I started assembling the rudder understructure and riveting together. Most rivets on the frame were able to be squeezed by the air squeezer...a few were back riveted. Andrew completed the assembly by riveting the rudder skin to the frame. Came out rather nice. During lunchtime, we ran to Lowes and O'Reily Auto Parts and picked up more Scotchbrite Pads, 2 tubes of RTV, and a 5 foot, 1/2 inch diameter pipe to roll the leading edges of the rudder. We will complete this process tomorrow as well as start work on the elevator.
