Today Andrew and I assembled and riveted the vertical stab together per the directions. We found that during the rivet bucking process, the zinc chromate primer did not wear off nearly as much as in the HS build process. We think this is probably because of the Alodine/Etching process we used on the VS parts....this priming process seemed to work really well. We estimate that priming just the VS parts and skin added about 22 ounces of extra weight to the VS. Next step in the build process is the rudder.
