Brief Description:  More Work On Left Elevator & Trim Tab

After a 3 week break in building, Andrew and I were finally able to get together to put more work into the left elevator and trim tab. We started by prepping some of the smaller trim tab and elevator parts...breaking edges, countersinking, dimpling, deburring, and priming. Worked on trim tab first assembling the various parts and match drilling the holes. We constructed a set of "tab bending blocks" out of 3/4" plywood in order to help bend the end overlapping tabs on both ends of the trim tab and one end of the left elev. The tab end bending process came out well using a block of wood, plastic hammer, and the rivet gun on a low pressure setting. We continued work on the left elev. and started the process to install the Ray Allen Electric Trim Servo/Kit pieces. The plans have detailed drawings of both the manual trim install and electric trim install. I'll put in a little work tomorrow in hopes that we can complete both pieces on Monday, 29 April.
